Both Alyson and I (Graham) have always been involved in music Aly as a young child played the guitar and sang. Her main platform was to sing in church but in later years she travelled abroad and toured, completing many venues including European television. We met professionally and immediately realised that we wanted to write together apart from Alys amazing voice she had an extraordinary talent for writing words to the tunes I wrote. After we married in 1982 we worked with the music team at Seaford Baptist Church and started work on a series of Gospel musicals.
Our first work was called The Journey and involved a London gang's member's walk away from drugs and violence and into a new life. Nearly all the young people in the church were involved and we had tremendous fun touring throughout Sussex.
The next project was a Christmas presentation called Born For You which was a realistic portrayal of the birth of Jesus including more about Mary and Joseph and how they related to the amazing situation they were living through. Throughout we used a narrator to include prophecy looking at the future influence of Jesus in the world. Years later it was fascinating and encouraging hearing testimony of those whose lives were influenced and changed by this one production. We had prayed for God's anointing on every part of the words, music and production. It is true to say that everything we are seeking to do for our Lord in this website and in offering our music and music presentations to a larger audience over the world was prompted to our hearts by God through an email we received from someone who, years ago, had been to Born For You. Thank you Judi for your loving encouragement. Judi is now married with children and simply spoke of the way that she was still singing the songs and that we should ask God whether to seek a larger audience for our work. The Holy Spirit touched us so powerfully that we started work on it straight away. We felt our Lord just breathe into our hearts the words "Now is the time I will bless your endeavours just trust me".
After Born For You we wrote an Easter presentation called Rejoice and from this we took our song Crown of Thorns and made it a basis for our first CD called Songs of Healing. In this recording we included songs that had been used to bring comfort and peace to others when we had visited churches and prisons.
